Upcycled second-hand knife that has gone through a massive renovation. The broken tip is repaired and the edge is resharpened using whetstones, with a 1000 grit finish.
The old pakkawood handle was cracked and dry due to many rounds in a dishwasher, and is replaced by new handmade handle made from reclaimed wenge with brass pins.
Wenge is a hard exotic wood with beautiful dark patterns, which almost resembles the pattern of a tiger. This type of wood I only use if found as scrap material, because it’s difficult to know whether this type wood is etchically produced.
For every second-hand knife purchased, I will donate to the European reforestation organization Life Terra. You can read more about it here.
